The Core Laboratory integrates the magnitudes most commonly requested and measured using easily automated methods into a single functional unit, on different analytical platforms.
All the laboratory services, except the Genetics service, are represented to a greater or lesser degree in the Core Laboratory.
The Core Laboratory operates 24 hours a day, all year round, processing urgent samples from the hospital and from some external centers, as well as samples from hospitalized patients and outpatients from the hospital.
In 2019, samples corresponding to 284,000 requests for analyses were processed. A total of 3,839,738 tests were carried out. An average of 775 requests are processed each day.
