Anaesthesiology, Reanimation and Pain Therapy

   Patients with intense chronic pain that, due to the type of pain, requires multidisciplinary treatment.   
  Full assessment prior to implant neuromodulation (neurostimulators, systems implanted by intrathecal pharmaceuticals).  
  Comprehensive approach for patients with intense pelvic pain.  
  Management of patients with intense pain and high doses of opioids.  
  Neuromodulation and/or ablation techniques:  
     Cervical and lumbar vertebral column radiofrequency with fluoroscopy or CT scan.  
    Peripheral nerve radiofrequency by ultrasound.

.Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery

    Diagnosis and treatment of Acute Aortic Syndrome.   
  Surgical treatment of aortic aneurysm (rigorously selected from patients who are candidates for endovascular treatment).  
  Endovascular treatment of critical chronic ischemia (particularly angioplasty in of the distal trunks in diabetic arteriopathy, which has enabled us to increase the number of limbs saved).  

 

Biochemistry

   Prenatal screening (with the regional reference for the Eixample Dreta district and applying new-generation sequencing techniques for intermediate risk patients).     
  Biochemical markers for cardiovascular disease (used in the clinical management of acute coronary syndrome and heart failure).  
  Biochemical and genetic diagnosis of endocrine metabolic disease (such as dyslipidaemias, monogenic and autoimmune diabetes, congenital suprarenal hyperplasia, MEN syndromes, etc.).  
  Application of liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), a technology that is now used for the determination of immunosuppressants and Vitamin D, with the intention being the promotion of new services of excellence and/or, in some cases, tertiary services in the future: determination of steroid hormones, metanephrines, hydrosoluble vitamins and a several pharmaceuticals, among others.
